Ronny lives in the village of Rafael Núñez. He works in a garage while attending night classes. At home, he lives with his grandmother, who is committed to farming, and his grandfather, the local baker in the area.
Thanks to your donation, Tom, Ronny is able to grow a luscious garden for his family. Not only can he provide fresh fruit and vegetables for his loved ones, he is able to make a small income by selling surplus crops, as well. Your donation is empowering his life. Magaly lives in the village of Olaya Herrera, sector November 11 and is dedicated to housekeeping and agricultural activities. In her home garden she grows basil, cabbage, lemongrass and mint.
She lives at home with her daughter and two nieces. Her daughter dedicates her time to studying nursing; one niece attends primary school, while the other pursues a bachelor’s degree at a local college.
The gift of a gardening kit allows Magaly to grow nutritious food for her family, and to save on what they would spend if they didn’t have the garden. They also make a little extra money by selling the produce to others.

Luz Marina lives in a small village outside of Cartagena Colombia and benefits from the home garden project run by Granitos de Paz. In their garden that you helped support, the family grows basil, cucumber, green beans, eggplant, spinach and lemon.
She lives with her husband (who works as a bricklayer), their young 2 year old daughter, and their five year old daughter who studies in a nearby elementary school.

Ruby lives in the village of Olaya Herrera, sector Rafael Nunez and she is dedicated to house work and agricultural endeavors. In her garden, she grows aromatic herbs such as basil, mint and lemon and vegetables such as cabbage and artichokes.
In her home, she lives with her mother who is a homemaker, her sister-in-law and her two children.
The gift of a gardening kit allows Ruby to grow nutritious food for her family, while simultaneously saving money. Not only does this garden grow healthy food, it grows opportunity, too! Ruby is able to sell any surplus vegetables to her community.

Esperanza lives in Rafael Nunez and is a beneficiary of the project “Productive Patios” of the Fundacion Granitos de Paz–an organization dedicated to the proliferation and support of home gardens. In her garden, Esperanza cultivates vegetables such as spinach and artichokes.
Esperanza lives with her husband, her daughter and her son. While her husband works as a guard and a builder, and while her children are studying for post-secondary degrees, Esperanza tends to her garden.
Your generosity helps Esperanza save and make money. By growing the family’s produce right at home, Esperanza is able to feed her family herself, and sell any surplus to the community. Thank you so much for your donation, Lucija! Your gift of abundance is priceless for Esperanza’s family!

Mr. David Silva lives in the town of Olaya Herrera. He is a beneficiary of the project “Productive Patios” which is dedicated to the administration of documents and to agricultural work. In his patio, he grows aromatic herbs such as basil and lemongrass, and vegetables such as eggplant and cabbage. He lives in his home with his son who works as a merchandise dispenser, his wife and daughter who are dedicated to the work in the home and his son-in-law who is at the moment unemployed.

Your donation provided the Moralos family in Cartagena with a wonderful new organic garden. Carmen is responsible for taking care of their tomato, eggplant, basil and peppermint plants while her husband works in merchandising. Carmen also has four children who are currently in school.
Because of your donation Tom, Carmen’s garden helps them eat better, improve the environment, and even provide a source of income for the family.

Thanks to your donation, the Mora family in Cartagena received a gardening kit.
There are four children in the Mora family and they all go to school. Olga, the mother, is responsible for growing eggplant, basil, oregano, mint and lemongrass while her husband works as a kitchen assistant.
This home garden helps supplement their nutrition, improve the environment and also generates additional income for their household.

Nancy is responsible for the oregano, cabbage, basil, mint, and eggplant they grow in their garden. She lives with her 3 grandchildren who attend school and her daughter who works in security.

Thanks to your donation, the large Tuberquía family in Cartagena received a gardening kit.
Cindy and her mother are responsible for tending their crops of basil, mint, lemongrass, cabbage, eggplant and spinach.
Cindy’s father, uncle, older brother, sister, brother in law and their son also live in this home. Unfortunately, none of them are employed at this time and rarely can they find consistent work.
Andrew, the home garden you provided offers nutritious meals for the whole family. Furthermore, it is an opportunity for income.
