Thanks to your donation, the Majarrez family received a gardening kit! Elsy is a member of a home garden project that promotes productive urban agriculture in a village near Cartagena. She spends her day taking care of her family and tends to her productive garden where she grows sweet pepper and eggplant.
She lives with her husband, three children and two grandchildren. Her vegetable garden provides nutritious meals for her family and also generates an additional income for their household.

Nelsy lives in Manzanillo del Mar, a short ride from the center of Cartagena, Colombia. She is one of the most successful participants in a project that promotes urban agriculture. Thanks to your donation, Nelsy and her family received a gardening kit! Nelsy takes care of her family and of her garden, growing basil, eggplant, tomato, sweet pepper, chili and chives in her backyard.
Nelsy’s husband, who works in different trades such as bricklaying, painting and fishing, also helps her with her project. Their home garden gives them more nutritious meals, improves the environment and generates an additional income!
