Nelsy is growing basil and eggplant!

Nelsy lives in Manzanillo del Mar, a s­­hort ride from the center of Cartagena, Colombia. She is one of the most successful participants in a project that promotes urban agriculture. Thanks to your donation, Nelsy and her family received a gardening kit! Nelsy takes care of her family and of her garden, growing basil, eggplant, tomato, sweet pepper, chili and chives in her backyard.

Nelsy’s husband, who works in different trades such as bricklaying, painting and fishing, also helps her with her project. Their home garden gives them more nutritious meals, improves the environment and generates an additional income!
