Magaly and Her Family Received a Gardening Kit!

Magaly lives in the village of Olaya Herrera, sector November 11 and is dedicated to housekeeping and agricultural activities. In her home garden she grows basil, cabbage, lemongrass and mint.

She lives at home with her daughter and two nieces. Her daughter dedicates her time to studying nursing; one niece attends primary school, while the other pursues a bachelor’s degree at a local college.

The gift of a gardening kit allows Magaly to grow nutritious food for her family, and to save on what they would spend if they didn’t have the garden. They also make a little extra money by selling the produce to others.
