Manuela is excited to receive a garden kit!

Manuela lives in the town of Tierra Baja, Colombia.  She is a participant in the Productive Patios program as well as a housewife and amateur farmer.  She enjoys spending much of her time working with plants and right now in her yard she is growing basil, beans and cucumber.

She lives with her husband, who is devoted to a number of trades and their son who works as a bricklayer.  Their daughter also lives with them and helps take care of household chores and their grandson is in grade school.  The family does not always make enough money to help support Manuela’s love of gardening.
