Angie’s family has a new organic vegetable garden

Dear UBS,

Angie is 14 years old. She lives in the Rafael Nuñez neighborhood of Cartagena, Columbia with her parents, siblings and an uncle.

The entire household works together to contribute to the family’s income.  Her father and uncle are welders while her sister and brother sell goods nearby. Angie’s mother is a housewife but she and Angie can also contribute financially through the help of Granitos de Paz and your generosity, UBS. Your donation provided Angie’s family with tools, seeds and training to start their own garden. Now, Angie and her mother cultivate cabbage, beans, cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, green onions and oregano.

Angie is in seventh grade at the Nuestra Señora del Carmen School in Cartagena. Angie and her family live in a house built with a wood and sand floor. She is an active, participatory and joyful person.

Thank you very much for your donation, UBS. You kindness has helped plant Angie’s dreams!
